Inland waterway transport has many advantages and helps relieve road traffic congestion. Waterways have been at the centre of Somef\u2019s activities since 1920.<\/p>\n

Its line of business:\u00a0 organisation of inland waterway transport through chartering or its own fleet for its customers.<\/p>\n

River-sea transport<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Somef organises transport between Li\u00e8ge and several ports in Ireland, the United Kingdom and Spain.\u00a0 Specially designed to sail at sea as well as on rivers and canals, its coasters have a capacity of 1,400 to 1,900 tonnes.\u00a0 Somef can, upon request, also serve the Baltic Sea, the French Atlantic coast, the north of the Iberian peninsula and all the British Isles.<\/p>\n
